Flashback

We joke now about Sam's stick up hair but I just came across these pictures of Noah at the same five month mark...

Sam:

Noah:
Crazy hair!

Recent conversation

Noah: When is it my turn to get married?
Me: Well, one day when you grow up to be like daddy and you meet a lady that you love and she loves you back, you can maybe get married.
Noah: I like Lucy (a girl from school).
Me: Oh really? What do you like about her?
Noah: She's like you. And her hair goes down like your hair.

Boom! I now forgive him for all the drama he has put me through.

Samwise Gamgee

It is hard to believe Samwise Gamgee, as Terah is prone to call him, is already 4.5 months. Poor Sam does not get much camera time, but the lack of photos does not mean he is lacking in love!

There is nothing quite like a baby's smiles. The first time he smiled (at 8 wks? I can't even remember) was the first time I thought we were going to make it.

Here is some proof he does in fact exist...

Finally, bonus picture of our other big baby...

Noah's ski adventure

This year my parents bravely invited Noah to join them on their annual ski trip.  We almost canceled when Noah and Max got sick for the THIRD time this year.  But Noah was so proud and excited to pack his own luggage (including his three stuffed animals) that I decided to let him go, fever and all.

Excited to try on his ski gear...

The trip started off shaky with a few tears from Noah and a few concerned calls from the grandparents. At one point, I was ready to make the 4-hr trek to pick him up. But with lots of continuous doses of advil, bribery, and ice cream, he stayed. And then we started getting texts from my parents like this...

Look at that view!

On the last day he was finally healthy enough to go to ski school.  The big finale (he's the one in the white helmet)...

Our big boy. Can't wait to join him on the mountain next year!

A beautiful day in SF

Our day quickly deteriorated as Max and Noah both have high fevers. But I've spent the better half of this week with some child in my arms so I'm just glad we even made it out of the house!
