Series Finale

So, summer is the time when TV shows stop running to take a break. Great shows even end. For us, this summer marks the end of our time leading a VCC small group. It has been a really wonderful run and we will truly miss all of the great friends we made here. But, not to worry! To commemorate this forever, we have the wonderful invention of digital photos and video. That helps even the dopiest of amateurs (Terah) capture the most ridiculous things (as you will see) :-) Anyways, here are a few photos from our last group together. Check out our awesome photos:

And this is Benita trying to figure out which one is Well Water. If you want to know more, you just have to ask us about it:

Happy Birthday GEORGE!

Our good friend George recently had his 995th birthday. OK, really, he's like 26. Anyways, he's a med school student in New Jersey (and, ironically, lives very near to where he was born). Ironic, because George actually lived most of his life in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Anyways, back to our story, we went to visit George a few weeks ago and we got to see his PHAT pad. WE also got to hang out where he's working for the summer. AND we couldn't forget the birthday cake...er... ice cream to celebrate. Check out our awesome pictures:

Here's our virtual tour of George's place. Yes, PH does stand for Pretty Hot.

Maddy arrives...

This past Saturday we had the great privilege of our friends Wilson and Ann visiting with their baby Madeleine! We had great fun eating homemade quiche (great job Michelle), throwing peas on the ground, and eating the outside wrapper of the chocolates. All in all a wonderful brunch. Then we got to see them all dressed up. Check it out.

Meat, sushi, and dirty bowls

Last weekend we had a fantabulous time with our small group up in Bucks county. PJ and his awesome family hosted us for a BBQ in their backyard under a magnificent Dawn redwood tree (as identified by our resident ecologist)...

Good times were had by all - it's easy to forget how beautiful and green it can be right outside of the city.

In other news, we're starting to say our final farewell to many of our beloved friends here in philly...

Here's dinner with Kristen, our very own Fulbright scholar headed off to Japan!

And no shame Liz, life won't be the same without you bringing your laundry over and returning dirty bowls...

One year ago

Exactly one year ago, we moved into our first apartment. Within two weeks our place had turned into this...

I'll spare you close up shots of the mold.

My Worst Nightmare ensued & eventually we broke our lease. Our dedicated friends helped us move again.

Needless to say, I'd like to give mad props to our new place with no mold, a working shower rod, and a decent landlord! You've been my dream first home.
