Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving! We started off the day at the Turkey Trot, which was really fun.

Noah even joined the kid's fun run. This may be our new family tradition when we stay local.

After afternoon naps, we joined our good friends Heather and David at their annual thanksgiving feast. It was quite the spread.

The next day we hit up Land's End, an area of San Francisco we've never explored. It was a gorgeous day.

Max agrees...

We then rounded out our break with a morning visit to Happy Hollow.

In this busy season, we are incredibly thankful to put everything on hold for a few days and for the time at home together.

Survival mode

It has been a grueling month at work, and the spigot just won't shut off. In the time it took me to write this sentence, I probably received five new emails. These photos remind me of the happier moments of my days...

9 Months

Life keeps barreling by, but I am determined to take a moment to celebrate Max turning nine months today!

The word that comes to mind when I think of Max is pure delight.

Even though he's been a miserable hot mess this past month as tooth number 3 and 4 are popping through, he is every bit a snuggly baby.

He is fascinated by Noah, and will whip his head around the moment he hears his brother's voice.

He is just reaching the age where we are slowly discovering his personality, and we are really enjoying it.

He is a light to our family and we can't get enough of this kid!

On Being Part-Time

There are many hard things about my job right now, but the saving grace has been the opportunity for me to work part time. Four days in the office followed by three days at home has been really great and I am loving it for many reasons.

A day at home just me and the kids to do ordinary life with them has been an absolute refreshment. What can be better than an afternoon snuggle with a sweet napping baby? And for that, I am grateful.

Happy boys

On most weeknights, Terah comes home earlier than I do. The kids always seem to have a lot of fun just messing around with dad.  I hope they grow up with many more everyday moments like these.

And yes, Max's head is almost the same width as Noah's...

Noah-isms

Terah: It's going to be mommy's birthday soon. Guess how old she's turning?
Noah: uh...six?

Noah running into his room only to discover I had cleaned up the mess he made...
Noah: It's clean! Mommy, I'm so proud of you.

Hello mini-Terah...
