Two and a half

Noah turned a quarter of a decade this past month! At two and a half...

He has become quite his own little man. Our worst threat right now is that we'll do something for him since he wants to do everything himself.

Vocabulary explosion. Being two has been all about language development. We've been hearing new phrases daily, from "need gas, Daddy?" when we pull up to the gas station, to announcing first thing in the morning, "I finished... with bed!"

The obsession with cars continues. Trains have become a close second, but we are now watching NASCAR racing at home my friends.

Imagination is kicking in.  Stuffed animals are now talking to each other, and his cars are crashing and being fixed with his Mater truck (a tow truck from the Cars movie).

Little negotiator. We have quickly discovered that if we give in a little, he pounces and RUNS with it.

Silliness is fun. The best part of this age is his growing awareness of how fun it is to be silly, and the lack of embarassment yet to limit it. He is dramatic and outrageous all at once, and we are constantly amused!

He sees it all

This is slightly embarrassing to post, but too amusing not to.

Due to hormones and a particularly stressful time at work, I've been coming home in tears quite a few times lately. Apparently it has not gone unnoticed...

(Translation: "BT" means snot in chinese)

He's got me down to the way I wipe my eyes with my shirt! I'm speechless...

Preschool teacher lingo

You know your son has made an "impression" at school when you start getting comments from the teacher along the lines of:

"Noah is getting quite comfortable at school!"

"He's been testing his boundaries a little bit...."

or my favorite:

"It's so fun to see them coming into their own personality!"

In other Noah happenings, we were at ikea and turned around to find this...

And a trip to daddy's work..

Halloween

Last weekend was the first time I had off from work in a long time, so we took advantage and made our favorite stuffed pumpkin recipe. Yum!

In other news, guess who?
