First Day of First Grade

One of these days I will attempt to document our summer, but for now, this little man is growing up quickly and we are so proud of him.

Seeing the kindergarteners and their teary-eyed parents reminded me of just how much Noah has grown in independence, responsibility, and confidence. I'm excited for all that he will learn this year. Off he goes!

Another baby book entry

And just like that, first grade begins tomorrow and our pretty stupendous summer comes to an end.

Noah (6 years 3 months)
  • Still wants to be a race car driver when he grows up
  • Least favorite school activity is reading, with writing a close second
  • Has made future plans to design a car that runs on water
  • Creates gymnastics class, art camp, and school for his faithful attendees, Max and Sam
  • Adventurous palate - can hold his own in spicy foods
  • Quick, insightful, bossy

Max (3 1/2 years)
  • Wants to be Noah when he grows up, or bus driver, or gymnastics teacher
  • Loves play-doh, trains, and pretend cooking
  • Enjoys singing
  • Transitioning out of naps, terrible at bedtime
  • Somehow learned most of his alphabet
  • Detailed, stubborn, sweet

Sam (21 months)
  • Proficient eater - can peel his own tangerine, use a spoon, and wipe his hands
  • Determined to do everything himself
  • Fascinated but slightly terrified of dogs
  • Loves trains, anything his brothers are touching, and eating
  • Bites
  • Jumps from the bottom step
  • Emotional, social, tough
Love them and their range of personalities!
