Recent Noah-isms

Terah: How many sides are there to a stop sign?
Noah: Eight
Terah: Good, what shape is that?
Noah: ... Mexico!

Exasperated Noah: Daddy, you didn't do anything today, you just went to work!

Noah: Daddy, why you being like Mommy
Terah: What do you mean?
Noah: You're so angry. Now I have two mommies. All mommies are always angry.
(I'm not sure whether to be offended by this or not)

With a toss of his head: "I know everything in the whole earth, I'm five."

Family

I returned to work a month ago and life just got even busier. Every time I am about to return, I get an urgent need to take family photos. As if I could just bottle up these precious days with my babies, to hold on to them at this sweet age.

Given Noah's notorious defiance of cooperating for photos and Max's unpredictable moods, I did not have high expectations. But I love how these turned out. They capture the boys' individual personalities and remind me of how grateful I am for this family of mine.

Tahoe shoulder months

A few weeks ago we left the two older boys with my parents and made a quick weekend trip up to Tahoe with our good friends Lydia and Brice. The big surprise of the trip was overnight, it went from breezy spring weather to blanketed in snow. It was beautiful.
