You and Me

As our time with just Noah is drawing to a close, both Terah and I are feeling somewhat sentimental when we think of all that Noah has been to us since he surprised us with his existence. We are filled with such love for him, and not a day goes by that we don't shake our heads (in wonder or exasperation, depending on the moment) at this bossy, exuberant, demanding three-foot tall creature.

What a gift he has been to our lives. We love you Noah bear!

Parenthood

An email conversation...

Terah: I had some really crazy dreams last night.

Michelle: Me too, I had my first real dream about the new baby. It felt very real, we were swaddling the baby, and he had a yellow diaper explosion...

Terah: Ah! i remembered part of my dream now. i was taking care of the FATTEST baby in the world. He was running around naked peeing on everything. haha, hopefully that's not OUR baby.

Really, someone should ban us from being parents.

Snapshots of christmas vacation

He had been awfully quiet...

An impromptu dinner out thanks to my parents' generous Christmas gift and Grace babysitting. I am not a foodie, but Alexander's Steakhouse was a meal to remember.

After asking countless times to "wide the bus," the happiest boy on the urine-smelling city bus...

The big whale

We have now hit what I call the very pregnant stage. The word that comes to mind is... "ripe" - and yes, it feels as unpleasant as it sounds. This time there is no bar exam to study for so I am in no rush to get this show on the road.

You know you're officially huge when you get at least three comments a day (from people who see you EVERYDAY) that you look "really big!"

36 weeks with Noah...

somewhere past 35 weeks and feeling way bigger...

New year

What a year 2012 has been for the Chan family.

We have experienced the deepest of heartache, the greatest of joys and everything in between. The one thing that has held true is the more we have pressed into our God, the more we have found peace, wisdom, and the conviction to fight for the good things in life worth fighting for.

Here's to 2013, may it be a year worth remembering!
