Happy Easter and Thank You Michelle!

i haven't blogged in a while, but on this Easter Sunday, i wanted to make a special shout out to my wife and partner-in-crime. over the past 2 months, our lives have been completely turned upside-down with the little hurricane we call Max (AKA chunkster).

between sleepless nights and having to deal with a toddler who commands everyone like he owns them, Michelle has done such a wonderful job being a Mom and wife.

there are many times, where, being a clueless husband i have said the wrong thing at the wrong time and, of course, never expressed enough gratitude for all the things that she does (especially getting me to sleep early and providing wonderful naps on the weekends). so this post is dedicated to her and i know Noah and Max feel the same way, even if they can't say it as much. thank you Michelle!

and Happy Easter!

Where is my easy baby?

I wish I could report that things are getting easier as the weeks go by, but Max has a bad case of reflux and there is no rest for the weary. He is now on medication which helps, but we are on a steep learning curve when it comes to the world of reflux.

I will say this though - when you have a child that does not sleep well, it keeps you humble. And dependent. So humble parents we shall remain and continue to be!

Scooter

A few weeks ago I received these iphone photos from my parents with the following subject titles:

"The repairman"

"The cutie"

"The first step"

"He is tired"

The latest Noah

Me: (asked Noah to do something)
Noah: "It's... not happening!"

The other day he asks to use his cups to scoop water out of the toilet. Uh, no. But thanks for asking first buddy.

Upon his request, we have been singing happy birthday every night before bed. So far he has instructed us to sing to:

Po Po (grandma in Chinese), Grandpa, Jessica, Gracie
Po po's animals
Dragon
Cars
Rhino
Trains and the bridge

He recently heard the traditional phone ring, covered his ears and exclaimed, "what's that noise?" It took me a moment to realize he has no idea what a land line phone is.

And an alternative way to use the elliptical while Mom is feeding Max...

Super Dad

When it comes to Chan babies, there is no one who can swaddle better, burp faster, or calm quicker than Terah.

And all while watching Downton Abbey (I got him hooked). Wow!
