Organization

Organization is not one of my strengths, but I am always aspiring towards a more clutter-free life. In all my failed attempts, three things have actually stuck in creating some order to our busy home...

Desk Tray

For the sake of our marriage, Terah and I have always maintained separate desks. His is in the living room and has become our dumping ground for mail, random papers, receipts and so on.  The tray allows him to pile everything he has not had time to go through yet while keeping some of the clutter contained.

Art Filing Box

Young children bring home A LOT of artwork. I recycle most of it but keep a few of my favorites in a filing box, one folder for each year.

 Electronics Home Station (my favorite!)

Despite my general dislike of most gadgets, we have somehow accumulated laptops, iphones, ipad, kindle and many more.  Except when we need to check work email or are taking photos, we try (not always successfully) to put our phones down when we are off the clock with family.  We invested in this docking station to keep all our chargers in one place and to help create some distance from our devices at night.

Now if only I can figure out how to stop finding toy trains in every crevice imaginable...

Our sisters are married!

In the span of an epic two weeks, both our sisters got married!

Grace married David in San Diego...

Within minutes of entering our hotel room, Noah had discovered how to lock himself in the closet and Max thought this was absolutely hilarious

We have very few pictures from the actual weddings because our hands were full with running boys, flower bouquets, and random toys to occupy said running boys from running (they ran anyway).

Then Priscilla married Aaron in Boston...

Flying 6+ hours cross-country with two active animals while almost six months pregnant is no easy feat.  I was also suffering from a highly unpleasant pregnancy-related symptom that I don't even want to think about.  But we survived... barely!

Fun with family

Noah and Max could not last through the ceremony, so we ended up in the "cry room" pulling out all the water bottles and knocking them around.

23 weeks

After the wedding, we had a special treat visiting with our friends Shaun and Kelli and Luke. They generously fed us and Shaun accompanied Terah on his dream to take his son to a red sox game.

Special shout-out to my mom... we arrived home with Terah having a bad headache and the rest of us wiped... and not only did she pick us up from the airport, but she had cooked us lunch and dinner for the day and stocked our fridge with fresh fruit and veggies.

We think both David and Aaron will be awesome bros-in-laws and the weddings were in such gorgeous settings and so joyous.  Way to get married!

Dirty Socks

This is what I found the other day on my couch: two pairs of dirty boy socks AND their father's dirty man socks.

Just my luck, come Halloween, we will be adding another pair of dirty boy socks to that mix. Three boys! I am excited and terrified all at the same time.  No matter how it turns out, I am fairly certain I'm destined to a life of dirty socks.
