Old Stomping Grounds

Whew! We are just now catching up from our whirlwind of a trip to Chicago/Philly. I'm using the term "caught up" loosely here because we are in the midst of doing some sleep bootcamp with the sleep monster... and we think he's teething.

Our trip was packed with seeing old friends and spending quality time in these two cities we called home for the past decade. That, and furiously trying to finish writing a toast.

Chicago by day...

Chicago by night...

View from our hotel room...

Our old neighborhood...

For old times sake, we did smores at Cosi's. It's not even on the menu anymore, but they still have it!

Of course, much of our trip consisted of looking at pictures of Noah, or checking email updates from the grandparents about him.

We've known Grace and Peter since before he was born. Now he's in first grade and such a great and bright boy!

The second part of our trip was full of Scott and Kristen wedding palooza. I am the lamest bridesmaid ever - the only thing I ultimately helped Kristen out with was to wrap a total of perhaps 7 groomsmen gifts. That's it. Never hire me to be your bridesmaid.

In their new house!

Lots of adorable children who all amazingly made it down the aisle. Although this particular cutie did throw her flower girl basket at the bride's feet during the wedding. Added to the charm...

Father and daughter.

College buddies.

Rehearsal dinner.

Soon-to-be-married couple!

We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather for the wedding!

Terah basically assumed this position for the entire day as the videographer...

Carrie, Aaron, and Lydia. We think all three are pretty awesome.

The second edition of the cute Atkins offspring.

Our genius friends, Felix and Jess, stole Kristen's beloved Fat Duck (the ugly one on the right)...

And found him a duck-mate. They said "I do" on the same day. It was pretty glorious. (For an even more fantastic picture of Fat Duck and his new bride, check it out here.)

But when all's said and done, our favorite moment was when we got to come home to this...

4 months

Noah turned 4 months on Labor Day! We decided to jazz it up and take some family shots.

Baby designer outfit compliments of Mike and Steve!

The drool monster completely soaked through his shirt in 5 minutes...

Although you truly are a monster at night, we love you little guy!
