On Being Part-Time

There are many hard things about my job right now, but the saving grace has been the opportunity for me to work part time. Four days in the office followed by three days at home has been really great and I am loving it for many reasons.

A day at home just me and the kids to do ordinary life with them has been an absolute refreshment. What can be better than an afternoon snuggle with a sweet napping baby? And for that, I am grateful.

On most weeknights, Terah comes home earlier than I do. The kids always seem to have a lot of fun just messing around with dad.  I hope they grow up with many more everyday moments like these.

And yes, Max's head is almost the same width as Noah's...

Noah-isms

Terah: It's going to be mommy's birthday soon. Guess how old she's turning?
Noah: uh...six?

Noah running into his room only to discover I had cleaned up the mess he made...
Noah: It's clean! Mommy, I'm so proud of you.

Summer of Fun - Part Two

We capped off the summer back in southern california for Dave and Hsiao's wedding. Max spent some quality time at home with the grandparents while Noah walked down the aisle (kind of).

Whew! It was a summer well-lived.
