One and ready to take on the world!

Noah bear is one today! Makes me want to cry.

He is the best, and sometimes hardest, part of our day.

He has taught us to delight in being present. To remember the wonder of discovery. Even if it's swishing water in the toilet.

At night we creep into his room to watch him sleep, and look at each other in awe that he is ours to keep.

We love our crazy boy and he has forever changed us. What a year it has been!

When Love conquers all

How do you tell a child about Easter?

During his morning diaper change, I explained to Noah that Easter is about God's love.

He looked at me with eyes of understanding (not)

Then yanked his pacifier out of his mouth and threw it to the ground. And that was the end of that conversation.

Bathtime humor and new tricks

I read somewhere babies are already developing their own sense of humor by this age. It's become one of Terah's lifelong obsessions to make Noah laugh. Here's a moment where he hit jackpot...

Our new skill for today is shaking our head no. This is the first time we've witnessed him actually copying something we do. Watch out! Toddler no's are coming...

Play time

My current favorite picture

...And this one is right before Noah fell head first off the chair.

We were (ahem) obviously ready to catch him instead of trying to take cute pictures of him. Of course!

Bean Hollow

What a great name for a beach! We may have chosen the one cloudy day all week to head to the water, but that did not deter our spirits.

Red Chinese twins

Tired of your own family? There's always the Lui's you can join...

When the crying begins, the yellow bat comes out

Jonah (left): Hold on, don't go over Noah!
Jack (right): Keep going!
