Buddies
Noah doesn't know it yet, but he's got himself some great buddies in the works...
1 month and napping
2 months and could care less
4 months and lounging
5 months and carpooling
Halloween
6 months and swimming
Popular guy! Although for now, his friends find grabbing his hair far more interesting than the man behind the hairdo.

Passed!!
Nine months ago, I told my friend it would take a miracle, or a whole bunch of uncontrollable events to align perfectly, for me to have a fighting chance to pass the bar.
As my friend Joanna put it, "You worked so hard and was brought to the perfect place of needing community and needing God." I am grateful, and relieved!
From turning in my last paper 4 days before going into labor, delivering a healthy Noah 12 days early, to an oversupply of milk and a family willing to sacrifice their summer, God has been so gracious to me.

The eager mind of a 6 month old
Our little monster turned 6 months over the weekend! I was inspired by our friends, the Zubers, to officially celebrate because let's face it, it's been quite the 6 months.
At 6 months, Noah's two most defining traits are his hair... and his eager mind. I think months 3 and 4 were hard for him (and us) because he was bored easily but couldn't do much for himself. These past two months have produced a much happier boy.
On a completely unrelated matter, the over-10 crowd got to enjoy this pumpkin recipe over the weekend from NPR.
Cheese, bread crumbs, bacon, herbs, cream, and pumpkin, oh my!

Brand new baby
The past two weeks have been quite a blur around here. We just weathered through our first family cold, first road trip, and first vomiting spell. Noah's also suddenly quit taking his pacifier (aka Our Mute Button) and has gone secretly mobile on us.
He is apparently having his own little party in his crib every night. And by party, I mean no solid sleep for everyone involved. We haven't quite figured out how he's moving because nothing he does during the day indicates he can get from one end of the crib to the other, swivel 180 degrees, and get his feet stuck through the crib slats. Feels like we have a brand new boy on our hands!

In other news, Noah was quite the happy traveler on our road trip.
See that blur? That would be him jumping. All. the. time.
Noah got to meet Billy the Dog. Billy licked him, my mother was horrified.
Noah and his GREAT-grandmother!
4 generations
Of course, for every decent picture, we have 50 of these faces...
