Dedications are a big deal around here for the chan fam.
I had mixed feelings going in because I know this path of following God sometimes leads you to be different than those around you, to choose a life that may seem harder. And what mother wants that?
But when our pastor asked, "Is it your hope and intention that Noah experiences the presence of God & grow into a love relationship with Him, so that he can walk with Him all the days of his life?"
Well yes, that is what I wish. That we would show him a God that brings comfort during times of sadness, calls us to something greater, and cares for us deeply, so that one day he can make a choice for himself.
Afterward we celebrated family-style with stuffed mushrooms, four cheese ravioli, chicken marsala, tiramisu, and so much more. The food was fantastic, but the company even better!
It meant a lot to us to be able to thank some of those who have been so supportive of our family this past year. It truly takes a village (a very large one full of cool people) to raise a child.
Photos compliments of Joanna.
